About Us
Family Programs Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) social service agency dedicated to strengthening children and families who are at risk or involved in the child welfare system through high-quality prevention, support, and transition services. Family Programs Hawaii provides services to prevent children from entering foster care; supports children and families already involved in the foster care system; and assists youth transitioning out of foster care. We currently have approximately 60 employees in our Honolulu office and a receiving home in Maili.
We have provided quality social services in Hawaii since 2004. Since then, we have grown, adding a community mental health clinic, several large state and federal contracts, as well as numerous smaller grant-funded programs to the original Enhancements program for foster youth and Long Term Foster Care services. Improving the lives of children and families especially those involved in the Child Welfare System is central to us. Family Programs Hawaii strengthens families and provides services to all children, especially those from the child welfare system including supporting foster parents who care for them.
