CLOSING WEEK OF SALVADOR DALI: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN EXHIBITION – MARCH 20 TO MARCH 26
Park West Hawaii has been fortunate to host an amazing museum exhibition, “Dali: Stairway to Heaven” by the great Surrealist Salvador Dali. The collection of 100 framed pieces has been at the gallery for the past year and will leave Waikiki at the end of March.
The exhibit features Dali’s complete illustrations in woodcut with watercolor of Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy,” an important work of Italian literature about the author’s figurative travels through the afterlife.
From March 20-26 Park West will host the final week of the acclaimed Dali show including a “Final Night” event on March 24, where guests can get an exclusive preview of the next major exhibition set to open in April. (Think big colors, big brushstrokes, big name!).
FINAL NIGHT WITH DALI – FOOD, WINE, AND ART PAIRING – FRIDAY, MARCH 24
To commemorate the closing of the Dali “Stairway to Heaven” exhibition, Park West will hold a “Final Night with Dali” bash from 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday, March 24 with a curated tasting menu of complimentary appetizers and drinks—all paired to the singular artwork of the Surrealist master. This is a last chance to see Dali in Hawaii and receive a free unframed artwork. RSVP required: Waikikibeach@parkwestgallery.com
As an added bonus, any collector who purchases three or more works from the Salvador Dali collection during March will receive 10% off their purchase. (Terms and conditions apply. Offer applies only to Dali art and cannot be combined with other purchases.)
THE ART OF OZ ARTIST APPEARANCE – FRIDAY, MARCH 31 & SATURDAY, APRIL 1
On Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1, Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery will welcome artist The Art of Oz to Waikiki.
The Art of Oz is a popular Las Vegas artist, well known for his striking imagery, who began his artistic journey in his homeland of Transylvania, Romania. In 2021, he was named one of the Top 3 Finalists in Park West Gallery’s annual “Made in Vegas” artist search competition. His unique sense of artistic style blends abstraction and traditional imagery with fine art.
Oz will make a public appearance at Park West Hawaii from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 31, with a fantastic new exhibition. At 6 pm, Oz will give a master class seminar about his unique process and style—immediately followed by an interview hosted by the Park West Art Team.
On Saturday, April 1, Park West will host a cocktail party for Oz starting at 7 p.m. The gallery will unveil a special exhibition of Oz’s original works. There will be drinks, appetizers, and fantastic collecting opportunities for those who RSVP at Waikikibeach@parkwestgallery.com .
One of the main inspirations for The Art of Oz was his early exposure to European culture, which included the masterpieces of centuries past. In the words of the artist, he wants his art to help collectors “enjoy the opportunity to expand your mind while enhancing your personal experience. Beauty has the power to heal and offers the soul a deep sense of respite. Come along with Oz on a magical journey of discovery.”
The Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery, centrally located at Waikiki Beach Walk, 226 Lewers St., is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with validated parking for those who RSVP.
