I am a dedicated communication professional with over ten years of experience specializing in media relations, crisis management, and strategic communication. Currently serving as the Information Officer for the Hawaii Public Housing Authority, I have demonstrated a strong ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergent situations, exemplified by developing a resource webpage within 24 hours during the Maui wildfires to keep the community informed. My role involves coordinating impactful events like groundbreaking ceremonies and press conferences, as well as creating the agency’s first social media policy to ensure clear, consistent messaging across platforms. My background as a live reporter for KHON2 News has honed my skills in connecting with diverse audiences and communicating under high-pressure conditions, especially during public health crises like COVID-19. I am passionate about amplifying community voices, supporting families and organizations during times of need, and ensuring their stories are heard. I focus on digital and creative communication strategies, crafting engaging social media content, organizing community outreach events, and managing messaging for housing initiatives. My experience also includes marketing, radio hosting, and emceeing, which have enhanced my ability to connect with audiences in various formats.
