Susan Furuta
Susan joined HHH in 2001 to oversee the development of human resources and safety for three 501(c)3s, HHH received the highest ratings in labor, health and safety standards from the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitative Facilities. Susan was promoted to COO in 2017 and was appointed to CEO in 2019.
Susan was born and raised on historic Ewa plantation and graduated from James Campbell High School. Susan earned a bachelors degree in human development from the University of Hawaii and lived and worked in Los Angeles before returning home. She is experienced in organizational change, and systems and program development in retail, hotel and non-profit industries. Susan is married to Craig Furuta and together they have 2 sons. Susan is a breast cancer survivor and in her spare time, she enjoys painting.
