We are kicking off the school year with innovative

We are kicking off the school year with innovative educator externships! On August 23rd, Waipahu Intermediate’s Helping People and Saving Lives Pre-Academy visited the Honolulu Emergency Services Department and the Honolulu Fire Department at the Waipahu location. Meanwhile, the Design & Innovation Pre-Academy explored Bowers & Kubota and GPRM Prestress. A total of 27 educators gained insights from local industry and community partners.

On August 30th, the University of Hawaii STEM Pre-Academy, University of Hawaii Manoa Information and Computer Sciences, Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instructional Design team, and Leeward Community College engaged with 40 educators at Kapolei Middle School, sharing valuable insights on Artificial Intelligence and how to integrate it into the classroom.

Mahalo to all the employers and educators who made these events possible. We’re excited about the many more opportunities ahead this school year!

The Impact SmallBiz Accelerator Program in partner

The Impact SmallBiz Accelerator Program in partnership with @htdcorg Cohort 1 has officially launched! Eight companies representing startups in medical technology, food and beverage, legal, marketing services, and more from across the islands have been selected. Cohort members get strategy guidance, professional networking opportunities, and are supported one-on-one by their mentor.
