Christine Daleiden

As Chief Risk Officer for Pacific Guardian Life Insurance Company, Christine Daleiden is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating both financial and operational risk related to their insurance activity. Prior to joining Pacific Guardian, Christine served as Senior Vice President, Director of Compliance for American Savings Bank and Senior Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel and Senior Vice President, Division Manager of Operations and Process Design for Central Pacific Bank. Prior to her banking career, Christine practiced law in California for a private firm and served as the Koror State Attorney in Palau. She has been a Lecturer in Law at University of Hawaii, William Richardson School of Law since 2008.
Chrstine received her Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University School of Law after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree at Arizona State University. Christine is currently a board member for the Hawaii Life and Disability Insurance Guaranty Association, the Nevada Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association, the Hawaii Bar Journal, the Hawaii Justice Foundation, and the Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation. She is also a Commissioner for the Hawaii Access to Justice Commission.
Del Mochizuki
SVP & Chief of Staff
Hawaii State Federal Credit Union
Del Mochizuki currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff at Hawaii State FCU. Prior to this role, she worked at UHA Health Insurance as Vice President of Finance and Human Resources. She started her career in public accounting as an auditor for Accuity LLP. Del also serves on the Board of Trustees at Island Pacific Academy. She was awarded Pacific Business News’ Women Who Mean Business in 2025 and Forty Under 40 in 2019 and is a member of the Pacific Century Fellows class of 2022. Del is an alumna of Maryknoll Schools and earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Hawai’i Shidler College of Business. She enjoys spending time with her husband (Sean), daughters (Emma and Zoey) and two fur pups (Bailey and Charley).

Tara Shimooka
Senior Brand PR Manager

Tara Shimooka is a dynamic communications strategist and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, and event marketing. She currently serves as the Senior Brand PR Manager for Hawaiian Airlines at Alaska Air Group, where she leads external messaging and media relations for one of Hawaii’s most iconic brands. Tara plays a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s public narrative and strengthening its brand presence across its global markets.
Tara’s career spans the entertainment, nonprofit, and hospitality industries, with previous roles at Universal Music Group and MTV Networks. Her work has included managing global strategy functions, launching high-profile campaigns, and producing major events such as the U.S. launch of VEVO and the post-Grammy Awards events.
In addition to her corporate career, Tara is the co-founder of The Lei Stand, a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge in Honolulu that pays homage to the cultural legacy of Chinatown. Launched during the pandemic with fellow entrepreneur Ryan Kalei Tsuji, The Lei Stand has become a celebrated destination for locals and visitors alike, known for its elevated lounge
experience, locally sourced menu, and vibrant design that blends vintage Hawaii with modern flair.
Tara studied Communication and Media Studies at Cleveland State University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She received Koa Anvil Awards in 2016 and 2023 for her work on Hawaiian’s global media day for its A330 lie-flat seat launch and statewide hiring campaign. She is passionate about storytelling, community building, and creating spaces—both physical and narrative—that inspire connection and authenticity

Kaiulani Sodaro
SVP of Planning and Development
Howard Hughes
Kaiulani Sodaro is the Senior Vice President with Howard Hughes Holdings at Ward Village. She oversees strategic forward planning & entitlements, regulatory agency coordination, infrastructure development, community engagement and government relations at Ward Village. From new town and commercial projects to repositioning of resort properties and new build projects. She has 20+ years of experience in real estate development and has worked for The Resort Group, Pulama Lanai, Kamehameha Schools, Maui Land & Pineapple and Hiltons Hotels.
Born in Honolulu, Kaiulani attended Punahou School, received a Bachelor of Science from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and holds a Master of Planning from the School of Policy, Planning and Development at University of Southern California with graduate research distinction from the California Planning Foundation. She is a US Housing and Urban Development Community Fellow, member to the American Institute of Certified Planners, Urban Land Institute, and Koolaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club. She currently serves on the Trust for Public Land’s Hawaii Advisory Board, Hawaii Contemporary Board and is formerly a Planning Commissioner for the City and County of Honolulu.
