Featured Speaker:
Michelle Ngo-Wong
Co-Founder and Real Estate Consultant
Lava Integrity Group
With a decade of experience as a tech consultant in companies such as Hitachi, Anaplan, Workday, and Oracle, Michelle's journey took an unexpected turn when she stumbled upon a foreclosure notice on her family's home. Determined to help her family overcome financial hardship related to foreclosures, litigation, back taxes, and trust issues, she delved into the world of real estate, gaining invaluable knowledge and expertise along the way. Despite her successful corporate career, Michelle realized that her true passions lay in making a positive impact on others' mental health.
Drawing from her own experiences of witnessing her family struggle in silence with her mother's mental health challenges, she was motivated to alleviate the sense of isolation and lack of support that she had experienced growing up. Michelle and MD, her partner, embarked on a journey to pursue purpose-driven investing in real estate, aiming to create a lifestyle that would allow them the freedom to focus on their passion projects. Starting with part-time investments in multi-family rentals, they eventually generated enough passive income to replace Michelle's corporate salary, allow her to leave her job and focus on real estate investing full-time.
Together, they founded Lava Integrity Group, a real estate investing company that's committed to doubling their donation to charities every year. With a portfolio of over 100 properties across the nation, including single and multi-family rentals, commercial and syndications, Michelle and MD achieved their desired lifestyle freedom. However, their vision extended beyond financial success. They relocated to Oahu with the purpose of establishing Lotus Rising Retreats—a sanctuary dedicated to mental health wellness. Michelle envisioned Lotus Rising Retreats as a haven for healing and inspiration, a place where individuals could find solace amidst the beauty of nature. In addition to their ongoing real estate endeavors, Michelle and MD are devoted to coaching others in attaining lifestyle freedom through Zen Coast University.
Recently, Michelle's life was further enriched by the arrival of her daughter. Embracing motherhood has brought profound joy and a newfound appreciation for the resilience of women. As she navigates the complexities of motherhood alongside her various roles and responsibilities, Michelle remains committed to self-love, serving her mission and finding balance in all aspects of her fulfilling journey.
