Heather Aiu
Founder
ALOHA Collection
ALOHA Collection was born out of a love for travel, adventure, and the ocean. Founded by surfer/flight attendant Rachael Leinaʻala, and Kauaʻi native Heather Aiu, in the summer of 2014 with a single bag, a shared dream, and a Kickstarter campaign. Their initial launch was a success and soon after the brand took off. Retailers in Hawaiʻi were quick to embrace the line as these bags were unlike anything else on the market. As more doors opened, ALOHA Collection’s popularity grew. Today you can find ALOHA Collection fans all over the world. This California-based brand with Hawaiian roots has grown into a true lifestyle brand. When not at home, you will now find Heather and Rachael traveling the world or on the beaches of Hawaiʻi dreaming up their latest inspiration.
Heather Aiu, a proud Kauaʻi native and Kamehameha alum who has embraced Encinitas, California as her second home, is dedicated to building an international ‘ohana, one bag at a time. In 2013, with an International Business degree and lots of drive, Heather left a volatile real estate market in the Private Banking sector to pursue a dream with co-founder Rachael Leināʻala. Today ALOHA Collection is an ever expanding brand with a loyal customer across Hawaiʻi and beyond!
Nowadays Heather splits her time between Encinitas and Kauaʻi with her husband Nick and daughter Lei Lei. Committed to staying true to her roots, she gives back to Hawaiʻi annually through ALOHA Collection's Mālama ʻĀina initiative, preserving the beauty of the land and culture that she loves so dearly.
