Kelly Hoen

Kelly has been leading Service Culture programs and Leadership development for over two decades and has held numerous key Leadership positions in the Hospitality industry including Area General Manager, General Manager & Director of Sales & Marketing roles.
Prior to joining Here and Now Consulting, Kelly was the Area General Manager for Outrigger Hospitality Group in Waikīkī and had oversight of sales and marketing strategy, revenue management for Outrigger’s beachfront properties. She has always focused on innovation and technology, host training, and operational excellence. Kelly brings an impressive track record of success in repositioning hotels in Hawai‘i.
Prior to joining Outrigger, she served as the general manager for prominent Hawai‘i hotels, including The MODERN HONOLULU and The Princeville Resort. Most notably, she successfully led the transition of the Service Culture for the Royal Hawaiian from a Sheraton Hotel to the Luxury Collection brand.
A third-generation kamaāina, Kelly grew up in Kailua on Oahu and graduated from La Pietra Hawaii School for Girls. She earned a BFA in English, fine arts and secondary education from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. A certified teacher, Kelly utilizes her training skills on host development and is reputed to be one of the best mentors in Hawai‘i’s hospitality industry.
Committed to giving back to the community she served on and has been the chair of numerous boards. Kelly was also past chairperson of the HLTA board of directors. Her joys in work are watching people grow and learn as well as understanding the cultural connection of “the place” to the customer experience.
