Valerie currently oversees Sales & Account Management for the PEO and Multi-state lines of businesses at Kaiser Permanente. She was a founding member of Makai HR, a boutique Professional Employer Organization (PEO) based in Hawaii, where she served as their President for 2.5 years and grew the company to become the State's third largest PEO in the company's first year.
Valerie has been a member of Rotary International since 2000, volunteers with the Hawaii Innocence Project, and serves on the board for The Pantry, a food bank based in Hawaii, and Bizgenics Foundation, a Hawaii-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit specializing in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship programs. She is a past member of American Heart Association's Heart Ball Executive Leadership Team, and Aloha United Way's Tocqueville Society. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Business Administration and concentrations in Marketing, Management, and Economics.
