Ms. Santiago oversees UHA’s unique corporate culture, brand, and people assets, while directing the team that is responsible for the development and support of all current employees, as well attracting
new talent to the organization.
Prior to working at UHA, she held various executive positions with Young Brothers LLC., Y. Hata & Co., Ltd., HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, Spirent Communications and was also part owner of a small
business in the wireless industry. Her breath of different industry experiences and thought leadership in creating best places to work cultures is deeply rooted in her commitment to the islands. A sought after thought leader who can speak from a “glocal” perspective. From the basement to the boardroom, she connects the dots and has lead conversations around strategic alignment, employer branding, financial, leadership coaching, and workplace wellness. A committed community volunteer, Ms. Santiago is an advisor to the Master of Human Resource Management program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also serves as vice and compensation committee chair of the Board of Directors of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, board member for Friends of Iolani Palace, and active member of the Society for Human Resources Management Hawaii Chapter.
She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in human resources management from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Shidler College of Business and has received her SPHR and SHRM-SCP distinction. Born and raised on the island of Kauai, she calls Kaneohe home.
