Kiana Beimes
General Manager
OUTRIGGER Waikiki Paradise

As General Manager for OUTRIGGER Waikiki Paradise (formerly known as the OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger), Beimes is responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel, including daily hotel operations and services, including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, expense management, team building and host development.
 

Beimes was previously Hotel Manager for OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger. Prior to that, she was Area Director of front services overseeing Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel and OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger since 2021 and before that Assistant Area Director for the same two properties, plus Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and Front Office Manager at Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel.
 

She began her hospitality career in 2013 as an intern at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and in the same year was promoted to Guest Services Representative followed by Guest Services Manager before moving to the Beachcomber.
 

Beimes holds an Associate of Science degree in hospitality and tourism with a concentration on hospitality operations management from Kapiolani Community College.

John Morgan
President
Kualoa Ranch, Inc. 

Born and raised in Hawaii, John Morgan is a sixth generation Hawaii resident John graduated from Punahou High School in 1974 and went to both Oregon State University and the University of Hawaii, majoring in Economics, before working full time at Kualoa Ranch. 

He started his work career at Kualoa Ranch in 1971 as a part time laborer. He became manager of the family-owned company in 1981, when the company employed 8 people. 

He started a diversified outdoor recreation operation at the ranch in 1985 and since then, Kualoa Ranch has grown to employ over 500 people. Its primary endeavors are cattle ranching, diversified agriculture, stewardship, outdoor recreation, education and real estate. 

Over the years, as Kualoa Ranch grew as a company and the outdoor recreation operations became more successful, the company increased its expenditures and impact in its other core areas of agriculture, stewardship, community and culture. 

John has been active in the community for many years and is presently on the board of Hawaii Cattlemen’s Council, Punahou School, Bishop Museum, the Oahu Cemetery and HEMIC (Hawaii Employers Mutual Insurance Company). Some of his past board affiliations include the State Board of Land and Natural Resources, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, the Hawaii Trust for Public Land, the Hawaiian Mission Children’s Society, the Hawaii Nature Center and Habilitat. 

John has been married to his wife Carri since 1981 and the couple have three children and nine grandchildren, living in California and Hawaii.


Doug Shimokawa
Vice President, Chief Information Officer
ABC Stores

Doug Shimokawa oversees all Information Technology as Vice President, Chief Information Officer at ABC Stores, including all retail and back-office technology operations and initiative implementations. Prior to that, Doug was Senior Vice President at Pacxa overseeing Microsoft Consulting and Managed IT Services. Doug started his career as a Software Engineer with Lockheed Martin.

Doug also serves several local non-profit organizations giving back to the Hawaii community, including Goodwill Hawaii, Hawaii Literacy, and the Japanese Culture Center of Hawaii. Doug received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Yale University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
