Christine Camp
President & CEO
Avalon Group
Christine Camp is president and CEO of Avalon Group a local real estate development company with over $3 billion invested in Hawai’i over the last 24 years. A former chair of the Honolulu Police commission and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, she currently chairs a national ULI developers‘ product council. She served for four years on the board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, and currently serves on the Central Pacific Financial Corp, the NYSE listed parent company of Central Pacific Bank. She is also on the boards of City Mill, Kahala Nui, IHS and advisory board member of the Catholic Charities or Hawai’i. Avalon is one of the most prolific industrial land developers in Hawaii and currently is under construction on six projects between Honolulu to the Leeward coast. Christine’s current passion is to redevelop downtown Honolulu to maintain its vibrancy.
Thomas J. Diersbock
Regional Vice President
Hensel Phelps
Thomas (Tom) J. Diersbock, LEED AP, is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. As the Regional Vice President for Hensel Phelps’ Pacific Region based in Honolulu, Hawaii, he is responsible for the overall management and operation of projects in Hawaii and Guam.
Tom began his career with Hensel Phelps in 1995, rising through the ranks from Field Engineer, Office Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and Operations Manager, before being appointed Regional Vice President.
Tom spent much of his career with Hensel Phelps in the Southern California Region where he served as project manager on notable projects, such as, the $242 million Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel and the $300 million United States Federal Courthouse in San Diego. In 2012, Tom was promoted to Operations Manager after he and his family relocated to the Pacific Region in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Tom helped to establish the Pacific Region by overseeing some of the Region’s largest projects, such as the $259 million Hilton Grand Islander, $347 million USACE Command and Control Facility Phase 3, and the $352 million Mauka Concourse Extension at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The region is currently working on variety of projects ranging from the $422 million Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Treatment Phase 1 project to the Grand Wailea Resort’s $40 million Spa Grande Renovation on Maui.
Married with three daughters, the family participates in the kids’ sports, as well as boating, diving, and off-island travel.
Glen Kaneshige
President
Nordic PCL Construction, Inc.
Glen Kaneshige is President of Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. He was President and CEO of Nordic Construction, Ltd. from 1999 until it became part of the PCL family of companies in April 2008. As President, Glen sets the strategic direction for the company in Hawaii while remaining involved in the company’s operations. He started with Nordic as a project engineer upon his return to Hawaii from college on the mainland and subsequently held the positions of project manager, vice president of operations, and executive vice president. Glen had the opportunity to work on noteworthy projects such as the Kaiser Honolulu Clinic, the Alii Place, and the James Campbell Building in Kapolei. He served as President of the General Contractors Association (GCA) of Hawaii in 2006 and is currently one of four designated Associated General Contractors Governors for Hawaii on the board of directors of GCA. Glen is a management trustee of the Hawaii Carpenters Union Health & Welfare Fund, the Hawaii Masons & Plasterers Training Fund and Vacation/Holiday Fund. He has been involved with industry labor-management issues and labor union collective bargaining negotiations as chair of the General Contractors Labor Association (GCLA) Labor Negotiations Committee. He is also a board member for the Hawaii Architectural Foundation, Aloha United Way (AUW), Teach For America, Child & Family Service, NAIOP Hawaii, and Girl Scouts of Hawaii.
In March 2011, Glen was awarded “Outstanding Builder of the Year” by the Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters for his exceptional contributions to union construction and labor-management relations.
Glen is a graduate of `Iolani School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and Master of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
