DONATION DRIVE: Join the YPs in conjunction with YP Wahine for a community goods drive in May to support Mai Movement.
Mai Movement is a local organization working to end period poverty in Hawaii. Their mission is to provide and distribute free menstrual products to those in need. They also advocate for systemic change in government, schools and community to end period poverty.
May is Period Poverty Awareness Month! For the month of May the YPs will be collecting donations of feminine care items to support Mai Movement. We are looking for donations of:

Darlena Chadwick
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
The Queen's Health System
Darlena Chadwick, MBA, MSN, FACHE is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Queen’s Health System. Ms. Chadwick joined The Queen’s Health System in 2005, and previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu. During her tenure, she positively impacted patient outcomes and operating margins, and led the development of programs that brought highquality health care to one of Hawai‘i’s fastest growing communities. An active community leader, Ms. Chadwick currently serves as a board member for St. Andrew’s Schools (Past Board Chair), Kapolei Chamber of Commerce, Queen’s Development Corporation, Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital, Molokai General Hospital, Chief Operating Officer of the Hamamatsu Joint Venture/Queen’s Medical Center Management Committee, and the American College of Healthcare Executives (Past President). Previously, she served on the boards of the Hawai‘i Homeless Healthcare Hui (H4), Hawai‘i Children’s Cancer Foundation (remaining as Advisory Director), the Kumulani Association (Treasurer), Legacy of Life – Hawai‘i, and Susan G. Komen (past Treasurer and remaining as Advisory Director). She holds memberships in numerous professional organizations including the Hawai‘i Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Cancer Executives, State of Hawai‘i Cancer Steering Committee, and the Association of Nursing Leaders to name only a few. Ms. Chadwick received her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from California Coastal University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Prior to moving to Hawai‘i , she spent 11½ years on active duty in the Air Force and nine years in the Air Force Reserves.
Art Gladstone
Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Hawaii Pacific Health
Art Gladstone is the executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Hawaii Pacific Health.
In this role, he focuses on company-wide strategic planning and other initiatives for Hawaii Pacific Health, including joint venture partnerships and new business development opportunities that reinforce the company’s overall mission to create a healthier Hawaii.
He also oversees the areas of Hawaii Health Partners, the accountable care organization, as well as marketing and communications, human resources, conference services, government relations and community affairs for the organization.
Prior to his appointment as executive vice president and chief strategy officer, Gladstone served as chief executive officer of Pali Momi and Straub, and chief nurse executive for Hawaii Pacific Health. He began his career with Hawaii Pacific Health in 1990 as a registered nurse at Pali Momi. He was promoted within the organization to various positions, including chief operating officer of Pali Momi and chief operating officer of Straub, before being named the chief executive officer for both medical centers as well as chief executive officer of Kapiolani Medical Center (interim). He assumed his current role in 2020.
Gladstone holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in business administration and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. An active member in the community, he serves on a number of boards in roles as Chairman, Director, and Trustee, including immediate past chair of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii.
Jenny Walker
Senior Vice President, Data & Analytics and General Counsel
HMSA
Jenny Walker is senior vice president and general counsel at the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA). She joined HMSA in 2010 and plays a major role in HMSA’s mission to advance the health of Hawaii. Jenny is a strategic leader and top problem solver for the executive team. Originally from Kansas, she earned her law and medical ethics degrees at Case Western Reserve University and her career has taken her across the country. She lives in Kaneohe with her husband, Matt, and their two dogs, Larry and Henry. Jenny chairs Navian Hawaii’s board and also serves on the board of Hawaii Foodbank.
