Mike is Managing Director, Finance for the Elemental Excelerator, a growth-stage business accelerator focused on start-ups that are solving environmental and social problems. After spending the first 20 years of his professional life in the banking industry, Mike pursued entrepreneurial adventures in start-ups and distressed companies. Throughout his career, Mike has contributed his time and talents to a variety of non-profit organizations working to make Hawaii a better place to live, including Family Programs Hawaii, Friends of Foster Kids, The Outdoor Circle, St. Andrew's Schools, and Housing Solutions Incorporated.
Mike Parker

Layton Construction, Inc.
Mike Parker joined Layton Construction in 2017 and has since taken on projects such as the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, where he led the bidding process and oversaw the construction from beginning to end. Prior to his current position, Mike spent 12 years at Kiewit Construction. He also has experience working as a carpenter while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hawaii. Mike is an active member of the General Contractors Association of Hawaii and serves as vice chair and chair for both the University of Hawaii committee and American Institute of Architects committee. He is passionate about engaging students interested in pursuing careers in construction and engineering. Through Layton, Mike has participated in talks at Moanalua High School and Pearl City High School to answer students’ questions about engineering and construction and help them identify a career path.
Caroline Witherspoon
President
Becker Communications, Inc.
As President, Caroline brings to her position not only a passion for writing but also extensive experience in the field. For the last 26 years, she has worked her way up through the ranks at BCI, and today is a partner in the agency. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards from the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators.
Caroline is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of directors for the Alzheimer's Association, Aloha Chapter; Bowfin Museum; Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Associations; Honolulu Zoo Society; and Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Hawaii Chapter. She also serves as chair of the Entertainment Committee at the Pacific Club. She is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a BA in Communications.
