According to Investopedia, Human capital is defined as an intangible asset or quality not listed on a company's balance sheet. It can be classified as the economic value of a worker's experience and skills.
While difficult to calculate, investing in human capital can make the difference between a company's success, or failure. The pandemic has put a spotlight on the need to keep experienced and qualified professionals in Hawaii, and has also highlighted the need to stop the "brain drain."
Join the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii along with our panel of experts for the upcoming FocusOn Webinar, diving deeper into the need to invest in human capital, and the benefit this kind of investment can have on the companies that make it, and the local economy.
