For this special episode of EAT THINK DRINK, the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation has partnered with Chamber of Commerce Hawaii to share the stories of female business owners in Hawaii as their businesses are reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the impact on business has varied depending on industry, there is one group that has been particularly hit hard in America and, specifically, in Hawaii ? women-owned small businesses.
According to a survey from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, women business owners may have a harder time recovering from the impacts of COVID-19, compared to their male counterparts. Lack of funding, lack of confidence and market saturation have presented significant challenges for women in business.
Get takeout with one of our featured #FoodAGoGo restaurants and join the discussion at our next virtual event, EAT THINK DRINK 12: Open for Business ? Female Power During COVID-19, on Wednesday, October 14 from 6:00-7:00 PM HST.
