Discussion of new rules and regulations pertaining to 1) independent contractors, 2) pregnancy in the workplace, 3) non-compete agreements, and 4) exemptions to overtime pay requirements of the FLSA, and the best practices to avoid significant financial liability.

2:45 – 3:45 PM: Breakout Session #2A: The NLRB and Their Influence on Your Business Practice: Quickie elections, work regulations, joint employers and the impact of Cemex and Stericycle New standards for requiring employers to bargain with unions. Changes to the joint employer standard. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has been busy, issuing several key rulings and interpretations over the past year. Our experts discuss the impact on Non-Union and unionized employers.
