These moments are rare\, so make them count by being genuinely curious!\n\n\n\nFeatured Executives:\n\n \n\nTina Andrade \n\nPresident & CEO\n\nCatholic Charities Hawaii\n\n\n\nLOKAHI: The Hawaiian word meaning unity\, harmony\, agreement\, accord\, and oneness. That is the personal philosophy that new Catholic Charities Hawaii (CCH) President and CEO Tina Andrade plans to follow in leading our organization.\n\n\n\nReplacing Rob Van Tassell\, who retired as head of CCH after five years\, Andrade becomes the first lay female and Native Hawaiian leader in our organization's 77-year history.\n\n\n\nWith her extensive knowledge of the organization's history\, programs\, personnel\, partners and future potential\, Tina is a natural fit to run CCH's day-to-day operations. But her most important assets are her empathic nature in assisting the most vulnerable in our community\, and in inspiring others around her to do the same.\n\n\n\n"Raised in a family in which my single mom worked two jobs to make ends meet\, I can relate to others experiencing those similar financial challenges\," Andrade said.\n\n\n\nA self-proclaimed "regular local girl\," Tina was born and raised in Honolulu\, a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. She began her career as an educator and earned a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and a Master's degree in Pastoral Theology from Chaminade University. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Non-Profit Transformational Leadership from Notre Dame University and a Professional Certificate in Human Resource & Workforce Development & Management from Michigan State University and Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Management from the University of San Diego\n\n\n\nHelping others while working for charitable organizations has always been part of Tina's journey (she notes her first job was as a receptionist at Catholic Charities\, then Catholic Social Services). Since joining CCH in 2003\, Andrade has been a transformative leader\, instrumental in advancing the organization's mission.\n\n\n\nIn her previous roles as CCH's Vice President of Mission Integration and Chief Operating Officer\, she played a critical role in shaping strategic initiatives\, integrating its mission and values into every aspect of the organization's programs\, and managing key operations.\n\n\n\nAndrade will also serve as President and CEO of the Catholic Charities Housing Development Corporation\, the organization's development arm dedicated to providing affordable housing for seniors\, individuals with special needs\, and economically disadvantaged families. Her leadership has been particularly impactful in addressing Hawaii's #1 issue\, the affordable housing crisis. Under her guidance\, CCH secured $200 million to expand affordable housing in Hawaii and facilitated the distribution of over $150 million in federal rental assistance during the pandemic.\n\n\n\nSpending seven years on Maui raising her family\, she feels a personal connection to the Valley Isle residents\, particularly those severely impacted by the recent tragic wildfires.\n\n\n\n"Our Catholic Charities Housing Development Corporation was instrumental in building the Kahului Lani affordable senior rental project and is now scheduled to break ground this year on our Hale Pilina project to provide affordable rental units for families\," Andrade said. "Any construction that can help increase the overall housing inventory on Maui is beneficial for everyone living there."\n\n\n\nWhile the economic and social challenges that face our local community continue to evolve over the years\, CCH's mission and values remains the same\, Andrade notes.\n\n\n\n"In times of crisis\, as has taken place these recent years\, we simply need to be there for one another\," Andrade said. "The only way we're going to resolve the social issues that challenge our society is if we all work together on the problems at hand."\n\n\n\nLOKAHI\, indeed.\n\n\n\n\n\nDenise Hayashi Yamaguchi\n\nCEO & Founder - Hawaii Ag & Culinary Alliance (dba\, Hawaii Food & Wine Festival)\n\nExecutive Director - Hawaii Agricultural Foundation (HAF)\n\n\n\nDenise Hayashi Yamaguchi serves as the CEO and Founder of the Hawaii Ag & Culinary Alliance (dba\, Hawaii Food & Wine Festival) and the Executive Director of the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation (HAF). Along with Co-Founders\, chefs Alan Wong and Roy Yamaguchi\, Hayashi Yamaguchi was instrumental in the development\, growth and vision for Hawaii Food & Wine Festival that has become a global brand in the luxury travel\, food and beverage markets. As the premier epicurean event in the Pacific\, the Festival boasts an alumni roster of more than 500+ global chef ambassadors\, 300+ select winemaker and producers and 300+ top-tier mixologists. Organized to leverage its network celebrity chef talent\, the Festival also puts a spotlight on Hawaii as a culinary destination\, provides opportunities for burgeoning culinary talent\, and addresses the need to support Hawaii's agricultural industry. The Hawaii Ag & Culinary Alliance is also the parent company of Hashi Media which is a digital media platform that produces online content and videos such as Taste Our Love for Hawaii. Most recently\, Hashi Media has developed a Hashi Wine Club\, in partnership with Kakaako Wines\, curated by featured talent and personalities.\n\n\n\nAs the founding Executive Director of HAF\, she has overseen the development and growth of all of its programming\, including their farmer assistance\, education and outreach programs. HAF serves 25 small farmers on its HAF Ag Park in Kunia\, more than 5\,000 school children annually through its K-12 education programs in the public schools\, and more than 1\,700 local restaurants and businesses that buy local. Under her leadership\, Localicious and Food-A-Go-Go have become the largest statewide "buy local" campaign in the State of Hawaii.\n\n\n\nHayashi Yamaguchi has more than twenty-five years of experience and has held executive positions with NCL America\, Bishop Museum\, Japanese Cultural Center\, Hawaii Foodbank and U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye's office in Washington D.C. She served as a board member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority from 2014-2018\, and currently serves on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii\, Hawaii Foodbank\, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and Movers and Shakas.\n\n\n\n\n\nKalani Kaanaana\n\nCEO\n\nHawaii Green Growth\n\n\n\nKalani Kaanaana is the Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Green Growth\, a statewide public-private partnership and UN-recognized Local2030 Hub advancing the Aloha+ Challenge and the Sustainable Development Goals. A collaborative executive with 15 years of experience in cultural stewardship\, community-based strategy\, and regenerative systems change\, Kalani previously served as Chief Stewardship Officer at the Hawaii Tourism Authority\, where he led statewide shifts in destination management and branding centered on Hawaiian values and community priorities. His leadership is rooted in ancestral knowledge\, cross-sector partnerships\, and a deep commitment to Hawaii's future\, guided by the principle that island wisdom can shape global solutions.\n\n\n\n\n\nChamber of Commerce Hawaii recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the okina or glottal stop and the kahako or macron. However\, some diacritical markings have been omitted throughout the website to ensure the best online experience for our visitors. Chamber of Commerce Hawaii recognizes the importance of using these markings to preserve the language and culture of Hawaii.
