Her contributions to the association management industry include her current role as the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Hawaii Chapter President.\n\n\n\nKanani was born and raised in N n kuli\, Oahu\, and is an avid volunteer in the community. She served as a childcare volunteer with Family Programs Hawaii\, and was introduced to a new level of volunteerism\, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She is in her 13th year as a CASA\, and her role is to advocate for abused and neglected children in the social services system. Kanani?s non-profit affiliations do not end there\, she is also heavily involved with HUGS Hawaii\, and is also the immediate past president of the HUGS Young Professionals (HYP).\n\n\n\nIn her former life\, Kanani was an Aloha Airlines Flight Attendant (right out of high school!) and served the airline until its closure in March 2008. She earned her degree in business management while working as a flight attendant. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLori Teranishi\n\nCEO & Founder\n\niQ 360\n\nLori Teranishi is the founder and CEO of iQ 360\, a certified woman- and minority-owned business communications consultancy that develops and executes strategies to help organizations manage major change initiatives. iQ 360 is comprised of a diverse group of consultants headquartered in Honolulu with teams in San Francisco\, New York and Washington\, DC. \n\nLori provides award-winning strategic communications counsel to global corporations\, startups\, nonprofits and government agencies. At Atlas she oversees project management and implementation. \n\n \n\nPrior to Atlas Ms. Tokioka practiced real estate and corporate law in California and upon moving to Hawaii she worked as an Economic Business Analyst with Booz Allen Hamilton where she helped perform economic and cost analysis for the U.S. Army. \n\n \n\nMs. Tokioka is very active with Hawaii non-profits and serves as the President of both the Island Insurance Foundation and the Atlas Insurance Agency Foundation. These foundations currently support over 120 non-profits and donate over a million dollars annually. \n\n \n\nMs. Tokioka has served on many non-profit boards. She has with the Hawaii Theatre and YWCA of Oahu. She currently serves on the boards of Teach for America\, Hawaii Public Radio and Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship at the Shidler College of Business. \n\n \n\nShe is a graduate of Tufts University and attended Georgetown University where she obtained her MBA from the McDonough School of Business and her Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center.
