Her contributions to the association management industry include her current role as the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Hawaii Chapter President.\n\n\n\nKanani was born and raised in N n kuli\, Oahu\, and is an avid volunteer in the community. She served as a childcare volunteer with Family Programs Hawaii\, and was introduced to a new level of volunteerism\, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She is in her 13th year as a CASA\, and her role is to advocate for abused and neglected children in the social services system. These foundations currently support over 120 non-profits and donate over a million dollars annually. \n\n \n\nMs. Tokioka has served on many non-profit boards. She has with the Hawaii Theatre and YWCA of Oahu.
