WALKS IN ACCEPTED.\n\n\n\nYP Cost of Living Summit: Legislation in Action\n\n \n\nBring your lunch and join the conversation with leaders and experts in the industry! \n\n\n\nYPs are well aware of the high cost of living.  It's one of the major reasons why many local Millennials and Gen Zers are deciding to leave Hawaii.\n\n \n\nWe at the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii's Young Professionals Program are taking action to stem that trend.  In May 2023\, we convened 100+ young professionals at the YP Cost of Living Summit to brainstorm solutions to our affordability issues in Hawaii.  Then\, in October 2023\, at our Deep Dive event\, 25+ YPs collaborated with housing policy experts to flesh out the ideas generated at the Summit and form concrete policy ideas. \n\n \n\nAt this Legislation in Action event\, Josh Wisch\, Executive Director of Holomua Collaborative\, will present on how your ideas were transformed into real bills and policy proposals.
