DESCRIPTION:Chamber of Commerce Hawaii and Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) are excited to present Manufacturing and Innovation Day at the Capitol\, happening on Tuesday\, March 25\, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM\, co-sponsored by Economic Development Chairs\, Sen. DeCoite and Rep. Ilagan. \n\n \n\nJoin us for a day of learning and fun with Hawaii's local manufacturing and technology R&D community as they share information about their industry with policy makers and the public. This is an important opportunity for our local manufacturers to showcase their unique products and speak directly with state lawmakers about challenges and priorities for the industry.\n\n \n\nThe Hawaii manufacturing and technology R&D industry\, though small\, is important to our economy. Our manufacturers need assistance in controlling costs\, making sure employees are well trained\, and securing the latest technology to grow their business.\n\n\n\nDid you know?\n\n\n There are over 700 manufacturers in Hawaii.\n The total economic output from manufacturing in Hawaii was $1.68 billion in 2021.\n In 2021\, there were over 12\,000 manufacturing employees developing products *in Hawaii for healthcare\, aerospace\, ships electronics and more.\n\n*Statistics from the National Association of Manufacturers\n\n\n\nNote: Recipients of HTDC HSBIR and MAP Grant recipients will be provided priority registration.\n\n\n\n\n\nEmail Nadia Holt\, Manager\, Government Affairs & Business Advocacy at nholt@cochawaii.org for any questions.
