Hawaiian Telcom
John Komeiji was named President and General Manager in July 2018, responsible for the overall leadership and management of Hawaiian Telcom’s operations and corporate staff.
Prior to joining Hawaiian Telcom in 2008, Mr. Komeiji served as senior partner at Watanabe Ing & Komeiji LLP. His practice focused on the litigation of complex commercial, personal injury and professional liability matters.
In 2018, the Hawai‘i Venture Capitalist Association honored Mr. Komeiji with the Corporate Intrapreneur of the Year award.
He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Executive Committee of the American Inns of Court, Aloha Chapter. Mr. Komeiji serves as Board Vice Chair for Hawaiʻi Medical Service Association, as Board Vice Chair for Blood Bank of Hawaiʻi, as President of The 200 Club, and as a Board member of the Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Marty Welch

Martin J. Welch is Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Employers’ Mutual Insurance Company (HEMIC), the largest writer of Workers’ Compensation insurance in the state of Hawaii. Welch has over 35 years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation and Property Casualty insurance industry, having spent the first 25 years of his career with Wausau Insurance Companies, followed by 6 years with Employers Insurance Group (EIG), where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer, before coming to HEMIC in 2012.
Welch began his career as a Casualty Underwriter for Wausau Insurance in their Chicago regional office, while there, he led various underwriting and operational businesses for Wausau in San Francisco, Boston, Chicago and Wausau, WI, eventually serving as Senior Vice President for National Broker Operations.
As President and Chief Operating Officer for EIG, a publicly traded, multi-state, workers’ compensation company, Welch played a key role in the company’s 2007 initial public offering and, two years later, oversaw the integration of a $200 million acquisition.
Welch is an active supporter of business and Insurance Industry issues, currently serving on the Board of Governors for the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America (PCI), as well as engaged locally with the Hawaii State Legislature on matters relevant to our state’s Workers’ Compensation system. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and is Chairman of the Local Leadership Board for the Arthritis Foundation of Hawaii.
Coralie Chun Matayoshi

Amercian Red Cross Pacific Islands
Coralie Chun Matayoshi is CEO of the American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region (Hawaii, Guam, Saipan) and also serves as a part-time District Court Judge for the State of Hawaii.
Matayoshi was previously the Executive Director of the Hawaii State Bar Association and Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division in Washington D.C.
She is a graduate of Punahou School, University of California, Berkeley, and Hastings College of the Law. A former Narcissus Queen and mother of three, Matayoshi was named by Pacific Business News as 2010 Businesswoman of the Year for nonprofits. She served on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents for 5 years, and is currently on the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau Board and Diamond Head Theater Community Advisory Board.
