A. Kam Napier has been editor in chief of Pacific Business News since April 2014. Prior to that, he was with Honolulu Magazine for 19 years years, serving 8 years as editor. His articles on subjects ranging from architecture to zoology have won awards from the Hawaii Publishers Association and the Society of Professional Journalists-Hawaii Chapter.
Born and raised in Waipahu, Napier graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with his BA in English. Before becoming a full-time writer and editor, he worked in culture and the arts, including at the USS Bowfin and Pacific Submarine Museum, USS Arizona Memorial museum, Bishop Museum, Mission Houses Museum and Diamond Head Theatre.
