9:00am - 12:00pm
Hawaii Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9
521 Ala Moana Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96813
In the Homer A. Maxey International Trade Resource Center Conference Room M-401
“Product Inspection”: Metal Detection, X-Ray, Magnets, and Checkweighers
Food Safety is considered to be one if not the most important aspect in any food manufacturing facility. Incorporating the technology to remove foreign material and the incorporation of systems to verify/validate label weights are critical pieces in any production line. However, the technology and use of this equipment is often mis-understood and or mis-applied opening the door to serious liability. This seminar will define each technology, provide insight into the available capabilities, discuss proper applications of each, review the pros/cons in a process, and we will discuss real application challenges with reference to today’s Global Food Safety environment.
